I was really excited to watch this movie and so glad that I finally did. It was weird at times and had a lot of awkward scenes. The characters were hilarious, but I loved the concept of the movie and how Naruto was able to get something he had so desired. This is my thoughts and opinion about Road to Ninja, and some things I liked and disliked about the movie.

Naruto Shippuden: Pain’s Assault (Episodes 150-169;172-175)
The next arc focuses on Naruto and how he deals with the harsh news of a certain someone. We see Naruto training to get stronger and actually go against one of the members of the Akatsuki– Pain.
Naruto Shippuden: Fated Battle Between Brothers (Episodes 134-143)
This arc focused on Sasuke and Itachi’s relationship as brothers and as enemies. Seeing the two brothers finally fight after such a long time, it was great seeing them resolve their conflicts. Itachi acted in ways unexpected and it was interesting seeing his reason and his logic.
Naruto Shippuden: Tale of Jiraiya the Gallant (Episodes 129-133)
This arc focused on Jiraiya, Naruto’s teacher who taught him for the past three years. He goes on a secret mission to find out more about Pain, a member of the Akatsuki organization, in the Hidden Village of Rain. Along the way, Jiraiya encounters some old friends.
Naruto Shippuden: Kakashi Gaiden (Episode 119-120)
These two episodes gave a lot of insight to Kakashi’s life as a child and it was really interesting to see how he acted when he was a kid. His personality was a lot different than his personality in Shippuden, and I loved seeing how he changed as a person and developed as a character. We also got a chance to see Naruto’s father as well, which was awesome.
The first episode starts off with Team Minato on the way to a mission. Kakashi has been promoted to Jonin and is going to lead the team, while Minato will head off to another place to deal with another situation. However, as Kakashi and his team go off to complete their mission, their team member Rin gets kidnapped.
At this point, Kakashi insists on leaving Rin behind in order to complete the mission, which I found really shocking since in Naruto and in Shippuden, Kakashi is all about never leaving his comrades behind. Tobi, his other team member is the one to stand up to him and the one who eventually gives Kakashi his sharingan before he dies after behind crushed under a rock.
I really liked seeing how Kakashi was as a child and how he was so different. That completely put a whole new perspective on Kakashi, considering how he is now, and it really makes you appreciate his character more. Tobi’s death was very sad, especially when they had to leave him behind since they were under enemy attack.
Minato’s moment of glory as he fought was great to watch. It really showed how he deserved to be called the fourth Hokage. Everyone seemed to look up to him and seeing him alive and in action was a treat.
Rating
4/5 stars! This flashback to the past was really fun to watch and I love how Naruto doesn’t focus on only one character or one perspective, but tries to tell everyone’s story. And that really gives the anime a new meaning.
What did you think of these two episodes?
Naruto Shippuden: Itachi Pursuit Mission (Episodes 113-118; 121-126)
This arc focuses on Sasuke more than it does Naruto and co., but it was a very important turning point for him as a character. With Naruto’s team searching for Sasuke, Sasuke was on his own mission.
Naruto Shippuden: Akatsuki Suppression Mission (Episodes 72-89)
This arc was very intense and a whole bunch of things happened. It was a big turning point for a lot of characters and we got to see more of the Akatsuki. The arc also got to focus on other characters other than Naruto, which I found was a great thing since we got to see other things happening in the background as Naruto was busy training.
Naruto Shippuden: Tenchi Bridge Reconnaissance Mission (Episodes 32-52)
I am very behind in my reviews of Naruto Shippuden. I think I’m past at least a hundred episodes, but haven’t much time to write about them. In total, I think I’ve already watched at least 200 episodes and my mind is so fill with the plot and the characters. So many things have happened and I can’t wait to see where the whole series will end up.
